Painting the human form is usually considered the most difficult thing to accomplish among realistic painters.  It is something I continue to aspire to, sometimes with more success than others.  ;-)

I find painting the human figure compelling for many reasons: the play of light across the features, relating the substructure of the form, the nuances of expression. The most important reason is that as a human, I am attracted to other people.  I think that is our nature.  You will notice that even many of my landscapes and cityscapes will contain people or some indication of human life.  To me that is interesting. I believe that many other people think so, too.

If you are reviewing this webpage with thoughts of commissioning a portrait, please note that there are so many variables with portraiture, I would need to discuss them with you personally.  It is difficult to set a price in advance.
